A deal is when two players, having both played in an sencounter, have made an agreement to exchange colonies or cards. The dealmaking process begins once it is determined that both main players have revealed s. Both players then have one minute to work out a deal. In a deal, either player may give the other a maximum of one colony on a planet the giver occupies, and/or any number of cards from his/her hand. Players may also offer promises and other non-tangible things, but such actions are never binding and are not considered part of the deal - there must be at least one granted colony or traded card for a deal to be successful. If either player refuses to deal, one minute of negotiation time expires, or a is played, the deal fails and both players must lose three ships to the warp.
